Organ Donation Week September 11, 2017 13:00

Organ Donation Week has just ended, I hope that those of you who follow me on social media have been paying attention to my posts and took the right decision to sign up to the NHS Organ Donation Register:
Nearly 49,000 people in the UK have had to wait for a transplant in the last decade and on average 3 people die a day while waiting. What if you, or someone you love, was waiting for a transplant, with your life on hold?
A donation is where a person donates their organs and tissues for transplant to someone else.
You can help save thousands of lives in the UK every year by signing up to become an organ donor. Anyone can register to donate their organs and tissue when they die, regardless of their age.
Becoming an organ donor only takes a few minutes to register online  but can bring a lifetime of health and happiness to those who are waiting for a transplant. Sadly, on average, around 3 people die every day waiting for a suitable organ.
Donor card
When you register we will send you an organ donor card. If you have lost your card or need a new one please call us on 0300 123 23 23.
Organ and tissue donation
Most organs are donated by deceased donors and used to help someone who needs a transplant. Some organs, like the kidney and liver, can be donated by living donors.
Incredible advances in medical science mean that more people each year are able to benefit from donated tissue, including corneas and bone.
Please do the right thing and sign up.

Christmas Baubles - A tribute to Manchester & Dublin January 15, 2017 13:32

Well it has certainly been quite some time since my last post. As with the majority life has been busy and from November to December when not working in my full time job in sales evenings were spent religiously cutting, gluing, ribboning, glittering and general fussing with intricate detail to produce Christmas baubles in tribute to the Dublin and Manchester silhouettes.
I would like to say a massive thank you to the regulars who consistently support Footwear Floozy as well as those of you who are new to the project.
The Just Giving page will be updated shortly in memory as always to my wonderful Mum "Mother Jones" - Most importantly please ensure that you read the NHS Organ Donation leaflets that arrive with order or see the following link:

Adidas Kix Box - It's all in the detail March 21, 2016 20:26

Come on Barbie let's go... February 5, 2016 17:41

I wanted to get some more vintage Barbies as props to display my keyrings (original plan was vintage Action Men however there are some serious collectors who pay top £ for them) These beauties arrives 2 pairs fixed with three stripe "Adidas" trainers, the remainder heels.

To reach a compromise I decided to kit out 2 Barbies not in the shot above in Action Men vintage football tracksuits like the...

Footwear Floozy Homeware January 18, 2016 20:50

Anyone who knows me personally will be aware that my love of trainers stretches far beyond the footwear itself. Whether it's candles, toy vans or teddy bears as long are there is an association to my favourite form of footwear I will buy it.

Thinking about items I like cushions have to be up there so I decided to produce a Footwear Floozy one. Other items will follow suit, these are just a couple...

"Rebel, rebel... I love you so" January 11, 2016 17:29

Please vote for Royal Brompton & Harefield - Chelsea FC Match Day Collection January 6, 2016 23:10

Please vote for Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity for a chance of winning a day collecting at a home match at Chelsea Football Club.

The process literally takes a matter of minutes and on the few occasions Mum visited they were excellent.

There are 79 other charities in for the running and we're up against big ones such as Cancer Research so please do vote under "Medical" for the...

It's a baby... Box! January 4, 2016 19:36

I got a nice suprise at work today when I was given belated Birthday presents and this little beauty was one of them...

It will certainly sit pretty with the rest of my memorabilia!

Adidas Manchester January 3, 2016 15:29

Looking back on 2015 it is safe to say that the Adidas Dublin and Manchester have proved the most popular silhouettes of the year for Footwear Floozy, even when up against the ever popular Nike Air Max 1.

A huge thank you to everyone who has bought a keyring from me with a £1 donation from every sale donated to Harefield Hospital. Most importantly a massive thanks to all of those who have opted to...

A huge thank you Dublin lovers December 4, 2015 21:20

What a response I have had for the release of the 'Dublin' keyring, the silhouette is an all time classic but I didn't think that it would prove as popular as it has with both old and young generations.

With £1 from every sale being donated to Harefield Hospital every penny counts and I really appreciate the support.

A big shout out to Lee Wrexham especially!

Reina Koyano - Trainer inspired illustrated women October 24, 2015 13:51

While having a casual scroll through Instagram looking at posts on on Air Mag's I stumbled across the page of artist Reina Koyano.

Originally from Tokyo and now living in LA Reina transforms voluptuous, illustrated beauties into trainer inspired pieces of art using cult silhouettes such as the Air max 90 and 95 for inspiration.

This style of design is certainly up my street being the original...

In homage to a classic, Dublin has touched down October 24, 2015 13:11

To date I have never sold Adidas silhouette keyring's although I have had a few in the pipeline.

From my days of running the Adidas Originals dungeon in Size? Leeds during my younger years I met many a what are often refereed to as "football casual" terrace classics collector so felt compelled to offer something for these chaps too.

Originally released in in 1976, re-released in 2001 and again 2...

Sweets for my feet, sugar for my... FA15 Air Max 90 City Collection September 16, 2015 21:35

It's been quite some time since I have seen a release that has literally tiggled my taste buds and played with my sweet tooth as much as the 'FA15 Air Max 90 City collection" representing some of the best cities in the world by means of candy.

On offer you can choose from New York, Paris, Tokyo, London, Shanghai and Milan, the insole of the shoe even lures you to temptation with the slogan "Treat...

Trainers for Charity keyrings re-stocked July 12, 2015 16:22

It's been quite some time since I have updated the blog, mainly due to moving again and a new job however I will be back at it and at them in no time.

I'm currently working on the website but for the meantime my charity keyrings of which a donation from every sale is given to the 'Harefield Heart & Lung Hospital' can be found through Shopify at the following link:

Stan Smith wild style December 15, 2014 16:41

Stan is certainly the man of the moment and in high demand being adored by street prowlers to fashionista's the world over.

On my day off today I trotted into Brighton and spotted these zebra and snake inspired versions from Footlocker, released just for us women up to a UK size 7.

I'll happily have both under my Christmas tree this year!

Bring on the 'SNOW' if it means 20% off at Offspring November 26, 2014 17:08

Although the 'Black Friday' sale stems from the States, around this time every year stores all over the UK unleash promos on to the market enticing Christmas shoppers to depart with their cash in the run up to what is always the busiest time of year in retail.

When it comes to my favourite topic of trainers, for girls like me who have a lifetime love of them from my own experience of the UK market...

Holiday's are coming in the form of the 'Nike 2014 Holiday Air Max Escape Pack' November 15, 2014 11:26

Brown leather will forever remind me of my "Curry" Premium Dunks that I used to run around in as a kid. Despite being a UK4,  I really wanted them and spent time kidding myself that with the aid of insoles they would fit (I wouldn't advise anyone to try this as the trainers just crinkle at the toe)
Inspired by the 2006 "Escape" pack Nike have this release lined up for us just in time for christmas...

Running Riot in Red - Nike Air Max 93 - Red Suede Preview November 15, 2014 11:02

Red, the colour that can denote such positivity while at the same time equally as much negativity

Some see it as representing love and warmth, others see it as representing the devil and anger.

What ever your views are you will either love or hate the boldness when it comes to use of colour on this preview of yet another release of the Air Max 93.

For me, since the "Teal Pack" 93's were released...

Wheat is good for you, so they say… Nike "Flax Collection" October 30, 2014 23:27

From the years of working on the shops floor for Size? (and a minor stint at JD Sports) when it comes to the colour wheat/mustard/sand/beige customers seemed to love it or hate it.

Personally although I instantly think of Timberland boots I'm feeling the AM1's and AT1's, I have however never been a fan of AF1's but I appreciate the history behind the silhouette and influence that it has had on...

Aloha, Aloha Air Max 1 October 30, 2014 20:53

Nike are yet to announce any further details on the release of the women's AM1 "Aloha Pack" but they seem to be causing quite a stir.
Subtle floral prints on suede in 3 effective colour ways will not doubt make these another sell out for the powers at Nike HQ if the success of the QS Cortez release is anything to go by.
For me it's between the red and very pale shaw of pink that reign supreme.

Sole Searching In South America - Adidas Spezial takes a visit to the north October 3, 2014 14:12

Oh Adidas, how happy I am to see you take an event to the north of the country.

As much as I'm born a Londoner, from living in Leeds and Hull a part of me wishses that I was still residing up there-the friendly people, slower pace of life and interesting football casual lads I met along the way both from working at Size? as well as many nights out made for very fond memories.

As part of Design...

A Dassler for the Adidas Darlings - Gazelle OG “Black Snake” September 29, 2014 14:06

When it comes to reptile effects on trainers, my favourite pair have to be my Adidas Kegler "Consortium Archice Pack" Osterich beauties that I picked up many years ago from an Adi fan at a store called Vintage Wardrobe in Headingley, Leeds.

Since then I haven't really stumbled across any classic pairs that look chic rather than trashy until I saw these "Black Snake" Gazelle OG's. A release just for...

The wonders of Alexander Wang- Trainer Couture September 8, 2014 22:37

Chanel have always brought us couture kicks, now Alexander Wang has given her very on take on our favourite love with her adaptation of cult styles in the form of clothing and bags inspired by Jordans and off course the Adidas Stan Smith for New York Fashion week show casing her Spring/Summer 2014 collection

I absolutely love this collection, we have witnessed certain high end designers attempt to...
