Harefield Fun Run & Family Day September 8, 2014 22:17

Last Thursday I ventured up to London in preparation for the much anticipated
Harefield Hospital Fun Run & Family Day.

I travelled up on the Thursday and stayed with my Brother for a catch up in East London and on Friday made my way over to the hospital for a bit of voluntary work in the run up to the event on the Sunday.

The lady who runs the charity side of things is a fantastic woman called...

Nike Air Max 1 Lunar “Palestine” Charitable Auction August 23, 2014 20:59

While browsing through Instagram I came across the page of @goolamb and his charitable eBay auction raising funds to help the people of Palestine.

His auction on eBay is definitely a catch for any fans of Nike Air Max (and we all know there is a healthy following) consisting of all sorts with a stand out pair of customised Nike Air Max 1 Lunar x “Palestine” in a size UK 8 customised by the talented...

Home is where the ... ZX Flux is August 16, 2014 13:59

Adidas continue to keep bringing it hard this year with many releases, the most popular of which is no doubt the ZX Flux.

To celebrate the opening of their new Adidas Originals store at Foubert's place in London today, an exclusive release of 150 pairs were unleashed on the capital with the focus being the satellite view of the city below.

What I like about this concept is that the River Thames...

Forget the socks just give me the slides August 14, 2014 22:40

Today saw the release of the Nike Benassi Solarsoft Slide in "Liquid Gold" that has already caused a storm this Summer upon release.
I'm a huge fan of anything that borders on the verge of tacky and I'm definitely prone to suffer the Magpie effect.
When Adidas launched their "Sock's & Slides" marketing campaign all of a sudden people thought it was acceptable to wear your Dad's socks with a pair...

Nike Blazer Mid Premium QS "IRIDESCENT" (Women's) August 13, 2014 19:27

Over the last few days these Women's Blazer Mid's have been all over every form of social Media.
Personally for me, us ladies have been given the weaker iridescent Nike release if we go back to the start of the year and look at the“Silver Speed” Superbowl releases.
The 'Air Trainer 1' is my all time favourite, when they dropped and didn't run in small sizes I'm not going to lie I was pretty...

Nike Solarsoft Moccasin QS - Photo Blue & Tour Yellow August 13, 2014 19:14

The Nike 'Solarsoft Moccasin' quick strike release along with my Presto's and Adidas EQT's are right up there as one of my most comfiest pairs of trainers.
Due for release on Friday the 15th August at END and Size? it will be interesting to see how this release goes down.
Personally this release is not quite as appealing as the 'Floral Pack' but I would take a pair of the Tour Yellow version, set...

I recently spoke about how the EQT Racing release has given what are debatably my most comfortable and lightweight Nike silhouette (a pair of old school Presto's) a run for their money.
This morning one of my good friends and fellow collector Steven Hoang linked me to these zebra print beauties and yes, although they are fairly simple in colour and not as vibrant as my St Tropic Green and Melon...

In the words of one of our favourite Beastie Boy's songs, these beauties are certainly full of "Intergalagtic Planetary" goodness.

A glow in the dark sole and the Nike Raygun character featured on the tongue, need I saw no more.

£5.00 from every sale goes to the Harefield Hospital.

Check out eBay for further details:

Shari's Adidas Haven in all it's glory July 29, 2014 22:08

"I don't think about them like ahh I can't wait to get to my basement to pour shoes all over my body"

Don't you just love it in the Summer when the beautiful flowers come out to bloom.

A silhouette with history that stems from 1984, the Nike Vandal is older than me.
Thankfully this is one style that is yet to be reincarnated to run wild on the local high street with the likes of the Huaraches and I hope that it stays that way.

For those that want something a little fresher than what the big stores...

Pretty in pastels - Reebok ‘Purple Oasis’ – Size? Worldwide Exclusive July 27, 2014 16:22

Size? and collaborations - As much as there have been a few that I had my eyes on in recent years like the Nike Air Max 93'S in teal blue, although they would certainly be a hit with us ladies we came to expect many years ago that the size drop off course would not cater to those of us with small feet and here we are again...

A beautiful girly pastil shade of 'Purple Oasis' has been chosen as the...

Although last year Blazer's appeared on the feet of what seems like everyone on the highstreet after an appearance on a rather trashy reality TV series they still prove themselves to be a timeless silhouette from the family of Nike Basketball classics.

For me, just like the Nike Air huaraches if you want a style that is proving popular the best way to buy is to pick up releases in colours or...

Orange on footwear yes, orange adorned to the faces of girls around town however is a huge no.

I own these 'Pre Montreal Racers' myself and find them to be extremely comfortable like the majority of racers from Nike. These are incredibly light on the feet and perfect for the Summer season.

£5.00 from the sale of any of my trainers will be donated to Harefield Hospital

Head over to eBay for further...

Lazy Oaf - Autumn/Winter 2014 July 24, 2014 21:25

I have always been a fan of Lazy Oaf and their vibrantly beautiful designs, especially their leggings and jean's and jacket combos.

Looking at the shots from their Autumn/Winter 2014 collection although I admire the clothing, I couldn't help but notice the use of footwear.

From super styling Superstars to our British favourite the Reebok classics and let's not for get the socks and slides combo,...

And they just keep coming - Adidas ZX6000 Snakeskin (Chalk White / St Deep Lake / Collegiate Red) July 24, 2014 21:14

Anyone that know's me personally will be well aware of my penchant for snakeskin and leopard print.

I declared my admiration for these beauties from my favourite Adidas family the ZX's a few day's ago and have been thinking about them ever since.

The faux snakeskin completed with mustard flavouring and accents of vibrant red and teal may not sound like a dream combination but the execution in my...

Boris speaks out on organ donation July 10, 2014 20:58

No matter what you think of the long standing Mayor of London Boris Johnson, I give him credit for back the fact that more Organ Donor's are needed.
As much as I would like to see more influential "celebrities" backing it to the younger masses, any action is positive action.
3 people die a day while on the transplant list. My Mum was one of those even after being on priority, her size being very...

Hyping on the Huarache's July 10, 2014 20:26

It may be grey outside our windows here in the UK but Summer is certainly sizzling over at Size? HQ with the release of the Nike Air 'Huarache Light' in a tropical storm of an old school colourway 'Atomix Mango' on the horizon.
Size dropped a teaser on their Instagram a few days ago that set tongues wagging followed up today with further images and a feature on their blog.
Now I'm not going to...

Stan Smith is back... and he's in my inbox July 9, 2014 21:28

When it comes to newsletters I sign up to I'm pretty selective on who I choose on the basis that I get sent enough junk as it is.
Adidas however I'm happy to have come into my inbox with promos, discount codes and relevant updates on new releases etc.
This morning I was greeted with, "Stan Smith is back". Now we all know and love Stan, he's been around since we were kids so I took a few minutes...

Gold Soles - Nike Air Max 1 Cut Out PRM - Metallic Red Bronze & Light Bone July 8, 2014 21:10

Other than the likes of Beyoncé and Ellie Goulding, I don't personally know anyone who managed to get the 'Liquid Gold' AM1.
For those of you who can't afford the price tag of anywhere between £500-£1,000 on eBay, if you are lucky enough to get these at R.R.P through Nike Sportswear retailers later this month then this release could be the next best thing.
I say "Next best thing" as I think...

National Transplant Week July 7, 2014 19:13

Today kicks off National Transplant Week

Although I'm very strong skinned some days it can still be hard to accept that Mum is no longer with us, the same for anyone who has lost someone close to them.

Mum having only ever smoked one cigarette in her teens was diagnosed with a form of Lung Disease called Usual Interstitial Pneumonia age 54 and passed away age 56.

Mother Jones as she was known to many...

Carnival Colourways -Size? are at it again July 7, 2014 10:47

Look what Size? have kicked off the week with dropping this cheeky tease of an image on their Instagram feed.

Rumour over at Sneaker Freaker is that this could potentially be a Huarcahe Light release with the racer colours.

Although I'm not a big fan of the style these days due to it being overly worn by Joey Essex wannabes, I could be swayed when it comes to bright and bold carnival colourings.

Keyrings fit for a Princess July 4, 2014 22:51

No matter how old I get, I will always have a love for Disney Princesses.

I can't actually pin point what it is about them, I don't go to the extremes of watching the films or dressing as one I just like figures.

In a way looking at them reminds me of being a kid and I guess this reminiscing could be to do with it.

Princesses and trainers, what more could a girl ask for?

Woven Wonders - Nike Air Footscape Desert Chukka July 1, 2014 20:12

Footscape's in my experience of working in retail for Size? when I was younger always proved to be the Marmite of the trainer world, people either loved them or hated them.

For many the woven materials mixed with the chunky sole don't sit too pretty but for me, these specific colourways of hyper pink and turquoise dressed down and work as statement kicks with a decent pair of black / navy jeans...

It's a balancing act for Karl Lagerfeld in his battle with New Balance June 6, 2014 21:07

A couple of day's ago I was reading about the battle of New Balance VS Lagerfeld in relation to his latest release.

There's no denying that the resemblance is there. Although Chanel is my favourite high end fashion label, I'm not a fan of Lagerfeld. How un-original can one man be and for someone with the label of "Fashion Director?"

The iconic 'N' logo of New Balance is famous worldwide and has...
