Through my lifetime love of trainers I aim to help raise awareness of how vital Organ Donation is as well as funds where possible for the 'Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals' Charity.
My beautiful Mum Ann Jones who funded a lot of my collection as a child always told me, "You will stop wearing trainers when you get older" (this never happened and I went on to spend 7 years working in footwear at Size? Brighton and Leeds, Offspring Ladies Concession in Selfridges London as well as Irregular Choice which fuelled my passion even further) I don't think that Mum ever understood the addiction however is the reason behind my fundraising efforts.
Mum needed a double Lung transplant but deteriorated while on on the priority waiting list. She passed away on April the 15th 2014 having been diagnosed with a rare and terminal form of Lung Disease having lived a healthy life.
At the end of the day, although I have loved trainers every since I was a kid and first laid my eyes on AM97's they are essentially a material possession that I have invested a lot of money in so now I aim to give back as much a possible.
Footwear Floozy allows promotion of how important it is to become an organ donor to those who wold not commonly be affected. 3 people die a day on the waiting list for a transplant, given the volume of our population this is simply not acceptable -
